Training methodology

 

The TRACC training methodology enables companies to be competitive by unlocking the inherent capabilities of employees at all levels, to:

 

• develop skills for current and future organisational needs

• improve bottom-line results

• implement Best Practices

• build positive relationships

• align to the company vision

• create the critical mass for a successful intervention

 

Based on the principles of adult learning, our learning interventions combine practical, hands-on application with experiential learning exercises, role-plays, and simulations, and span all levels in the organisation. Our outcomes-based material ensures that skills and behaviours learned are transferred to the workplace through Best Practice-linked projects.

 

Ongoing research and development are integral parts of our practice, which enables us to transfer the latest thinking on skills development and Best Practice implementation into our interventions. We also ensure the long-term building of capability in our client organisations through our training of trainer, coaching, and mentoring programmes.

 

Train-the-trainer

 

We also build internal capability by training internal trainers as a part of our Train-the-Trainer programme, which:

 

• familiarises the trainer with the TRACC Team Training Workshops - their purpose, framework and 
   content
• examines the use of the TRACC Team Training Workshops as a learning and implementation
   intervention for building  best practices in the workplace
• develops an understanding of adult learning and the role of the facilitative trainer
• practises and builds training skills and techniques most applicable to learning in the workplace

 

 

Assessment

 

Assessment material has been developed to support the TRACC Team Leader and Team Training modules and workshops, and will enable the assessment of individual team leader or team member competence against the outcomes specified in each training module or workshop. The user-friendly training assessment guides have been designed to enable the assessor to look for evidence of competence in the following key areas:

 

• Skills: The assessment determines whether the learner is able to demonstrate his/her ability to perform 
  the set tasks to the required standard
• Knowledge: This part of the assessment enables the assessor to establish whether the learner's
  underpinning knowledge is sufficient to ensure competent performance in the workplace
• Output (visible results): Assessment in this area is based on evidence (documentary evidence) observed
  or collected  from the learner's activities in the workplace. This assessment process is a powerful tool
  which can be used to:

 

 

o identify how effectively a learner is able to implement the learnings in the workplace

o identify areas where additional coaching is required

o enable evaluation of a learner's knowledge and skills in the workplace against clearly defined standards
