In recognition of DuPont’s long-standing commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and conserve energy, the American Chemistry Council (ACC) recently honoured DuPont with 11 Responsible Care® Energy Efficiency Awards at a ceremony in Washington, D.C.

The awards recognise companies dedicated to achieving energy efficiency improvements. One of DuPont's 11 reciepients, the Spruance site in Richmond, Virginia, recorded savings of $3 million in 2009 as a direct result of these initiatives.

Since its launch in 1988, Responsible Care has been recognised as one of the most successful environmental, health and safety initiatives by industry anywhere.
