The team has made considerable progress by now and has reached a stage of semi-autonomy. The team should take time out for a one day workshop to review its progress. Team members should discuss and re-affirm their vision of becoming a self-directed work team. During the workshop they review their performance, set new performance targets, clarify the allocation of roles and responsibilities and discuss additional responsibilities and boundaries of authority required. The outcome should be an action plan documenting the way forward.
